- I have a wife, Debbie, who is my best friend and primary caregiver. I have an 18-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son. My daughter will be finishing high school this year and moving on to college. My son still has two more years to be at home with us. I continue to work as a systems analyst/engineer. In better economic times, I might retire. But I don't know what I would do with myself, and besides, I enjoy my job. BA (before ALS), I enjoyed camping, bicycling, and skiing, as well as more sedentary activities, such as reading, crossword puzzles, and the like.
