Based on input from John I've put a preview of predictions on DynaKey as shown below. You can't interact with them only view them. One of my gripes with DynamicKeyboard is having to steer around that center area. Using predictions works the same way but now you have a preview. Work?

I've also been thinking of building my own equivalent to DynamicKeyboard. Although I think their idea is a piece of genius there are pieces of the implementation which I don't like. I think I can improve on it by allowing docking, transparency and some changes in usage. Is this something others would use?

I like DynamicKeyboard. I agree that it has some warts. It does have transparency, but it's kind of hard to find. I think Alan pointed out that setting preferences requires a separate application. There are two approaches you can take--one is to write it yourself and the other is to forward your suggestions to the CanAssist team and see if they would like to incorporate it. A third alternative would be to see if they would make it open source, so that you could make modifications against their base product without having to write it all yourself.

As far as DynamicKeyboard goes I will submit everything to CanAssist but at the same time it's a good keep busy project

I spent the weekend tearing into the phone tab. I'm going to require a special modem for now but it's getting there.

I'm going to make a longer post about this and put it on other sites but I need phrases and phrase fragments.

Sounds good. Be sure to post when you have the next version ready for testing. If you would put the 'checked-in' items in the bug tracker in a 'resolved' status after the next build until you get feedback on verification, it would help us know where to focus testing. Thanks.

I've caught some sort of bug and feel slightly better than I imagine I would if I were hit by a bus. I still work on this on and off throughout the day but don't expect much until I kick this.

Sorry to hear that. Take your time and get better. Your health is more important than the software!

I'm alive just wore out. I've been working on the documentation on and off and have used the program to successfully make and receive a couple phone calls.

I am relieved to see that you are still alive. Hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations on your progress with the phone. What modem are you using? I looked on Fry's and Newegg, but I didn't see much.

What part of the documentation are you working on? I plan to start working on it soon, but I have been working on my ModelTalker voice lately.
